Millie Almeida

Millie (Rae) Almeida has been employed as church secretary since 2001. She grew up in a Christian home and has always valued her early memories of attending church with her father. She has three children: Linda, Karen and Anthony. Linda and her husband, Glen, also attend Christian Fellowship Center.

Before coming to CFC, she worked as a computer operator at UMass/Dartmouth until 1988, when she moved to Florida. She returned to New Bedford in 1996. Her experience and expertise in managing the church office have been invaluable to Pastor Kenn and the church body.

Millie also has a ministry in sign language. Her growing interest in this field for the last three years is now used with worship music to glorify Jesus Christ and for instruction to others. This Sign Language Ministry performs at church on special occasions and during the holiday seasons. Millie says, "I love the reverence of signing to music. It is my own special and private way of communicating with God."
