The Heart of Worship
Bringing the Word of God through music to the beautiful people at CFC is both fulfilling and challenging. It is fulfilling in the fact we know God is pleased with our praise. In fact when we come together in corporate thanksgiving, He says He inhabits (dwells) in the midst of our praise. We never have to say “God Where are You”? He’s in the place where He has been invited.
Mark 14:3-9 speaks to me what praise is all about. It wasn’t that this woman sang a song and gave testimony, but very quietly gave her best to our Lord without regard to man’s praise or disapproval. My prayer is that each time we gather we’d be like this woman which reads in vs. 8 She came beforehand to anoint (to worship).
It is fulfilling to see the city represented in our church, from every age group, background and nationality this makes for delightful dishes at all our parties,
God has given us a special place and very special brothers and sisters to worship with. May we cherish every moment we have together. May we realize that the “Good Old Days” are among us.
It is challenging in the fact that all have different tastes in music. Some songs reach someone more than another song. I think what helps me in our praise and worship experience is that I realized it wasn’t designed for my pleasure but God’s. Did He get something out it?
I can guarantee If God did – we do.
Let’s take praise to a whole new level, but we need the upper room cooperation. “One Accord One Place” Remember you can’t please God without His blessing being poured out on you in return.
Get Ready!
Love to all,
